L102
Multi-Spring Diaphragm Pneumatic Actuator
Design Features
The L102 is a multi-spring diaphragm pneumatic actuator built to drive linear-stroke control valves. Compressed air acts on a diaphragm inside the housing; the diaphragm pushes against a spring pack and moves the push rod in a straight line, which the yoke and guide bushing transfer to the valve stem. When the air supply is interrupted, the compressed springs extend and return the push rod to its preset position — the classic spring-return, fail-safe-on-air-loss behavior that single-acting actuators are specified for.
